About Dr. Pedro Mego
Dr. Pedro Mego is a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist (FSCAI) with special interest in Peripheral Artery Disease and Chronic Venous Diseases. He is an Endovascular Diplomate of the American Board of Vascular Medicine and has been serving the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) since he graduated in 2005.
Education and Fellowships
Dr. Mego received his Medical Degree from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos School of Medicine in Peru. He completed residency training in internal medicine at New York Medical College at Metropolitan Hospital Center. Dr. Mego continued his education with a Cardiology fellowship at Montreal Heart Institute and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, followed by an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Dr. Mego partners with local primary care providers, podiatrists, and other specialties, to allow them to have access to high-quality, individualized and affordable care for their patients.
